Hail! You want to know of my interests?
Then proceed, comrade. I have many interests, but let me regale you of three broad categories in general.
☭Art!
I love art. I adore art. I might not be the best at it, but the act of creation makes me feel alive—and having people appreciate my work is what I live for.
I have already shown three examples of my work on the about me page, but I might as well show them here again.
While I don't always have the time to actually make art myself, but that does not stop me from appreciating others' artistry—or, when I had the means, commissioning other artists to bring life to my fantasies.
Arguably all of my interests hearken back to art and creation in one way or another, in fact!
☭Games!
I play games. They entertain me. For the most part though I play this one game, Final Fantasy XIV:
There's just so much that's right with FF14. The gameplay is good, the aesthetic of it is great, the story is also good, and the community I've come to know within it is just straight up lovely. It feels like "home", and a lovely break from the drudgery of daily life.
In FF14 I get to experience a world where queerness is normal, even expected. Where being polyam is not that weird, and where I can be happy just dressing my character up and making her look good.
I'm also an avid player of Arknights, and with the recent release of Arknights Endfield, I've been playing that a lot too. It is not as 'complete' as FF14 when it comes to fulfilling my needs, but it has enough—and it's a good alternative option for when I want to play something other than FF14!
Also, there's no complaining about this aesthetic. Look at Laevatain (the red haired girl) here!
☭Music!
I am not really the best at making music, but I sure do appreciate it nonetheless.
Here is the cover I made again. I plan on making more eventually, but I will be slow at it.
And here's some songs (by others!) that I deeply enjoy. Here's to hoping you will give them a listen too!
My musical taste is broad, but in general I greatly favour songs that lie outside of the western, pop-py mainstream.
